Welcome to SD Man and Van. By using our services, you agree to abide by our Terms and Conditions. These terms outline your rights and responsibilities, as well as ours, in relation to our services. Services Not Included Without Prior Agreement
Unless previously agreed, we do not:

Dismantle or assemble flat-pack or garden furniture, including sheds, greenhouses, outdoor play equipment, gym equipment, trampolines, hot tubs, or satellite dishes.

Pack or unpack boxes.

Move items from lofts without proper lighting, flooring, and safe access.
Client Responsibilities

Electrical Appliances: You are responsible for the disconnection and reconnection of cookers, washing machines, and other electrical items. Fridges and freezers must be emptied and dried to prevent damage during transit. Ensure appliances are stabilized with transit bars and stand for 24 hours before use.

Floor Coverings and Curtains: We do not handle the installation or removal of floor coverings or window treatments. We recommend hiring a qualified professional for these tasks.

Packing: Ensure that items you pack are done so properly, as these are not covered by our insurance.
Liability
We are not liable for any loss, damage, or additional charges due to your failure to meet these responsibilities, except in cases of our negligence. We reserve the right to refuse items that pose a health and safety risk.
If a driver determines that work cannot be completed without risk of damage and you insist on proceeding, you accept full responsibility for any resulting damage.
Excluded Items
We do not transport:

Valuables (jewelry, money, etc.)

Dangerous or explosive materials

Pest-attracting items
-
Refrigerated or frozen food

Animals and their cages
-
Perishable goods
Transporting these items without our written consent releases us from liability, except in cases of negligence. You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims related to these items.
Insurance
We are insured for with £10,000 Goods in Transit and £1,000,000 Public Liability insurance. The first £250 of any claim is the customer's responsibility, and must be paid in advance to initiate the claims process. Damage must be reported immediately upon delivery; we are not liable for losses reported after the job is complete.
Parking
You are responsible for any parking fees incurred during our service. Our quote assumes parking within 10 meters of the entrance; if this is not possible, we reserve the right to revise the quotation.
Postponements and Cancellations
If you cancel or postpone, we may charge:

More than 24 hours before the move: No charge

Less than 24 hours before the move: 50% of the removal charge

On the day or after the work has commenced: 100% of our charges
Quotes
All quotes are estimates. You are liable for the full time used. Fixed prices may vary if:

The quantity of goods changes

The layout or access to properties varies

Additional work is required (e.g., removing doors)
Customer Responsibilities

Ensure clear access to both properties within 10 meters of the entrance. Inform us of any unusual access or layout issues.

Arrange parking permits if necessary.

Ensure all household effects are removed from the collection address before we depart.
